In this thesis, poetries of "Late-Tang-Dynasty Poetic Form" in early period of Song Dynasty are studied by image analysis. In order to make a more thorough and comprehensive comment on the poetries of the school, the author explores the poets' creative psychology, aesthetic interest and the artistic styles through analyzing the main images of poetries. The whole text is constituted by the following five chapters.The first chapter is "Introduction". In this chapter, the author elaborates the connotation of image and make a simple definition of it as the base of following. Meanwhile the significance of the image study, the research perspective and approach of this thesis are summarized simply.The second chapter is "Late-Tang-Dynasty Poetic Form and Constitution of its Poetry Image". Because of the controversial poetic concept of "Late- Tang- Dynasty Poetic Form", the formation of its school is given in the first section. The scope of this thesis is "Late- Tang-Dynasty Poetic Form", which belongs to one of three poetic schools in the early period of Song Dynasty. Lin Bu, Kou Zhun , Wei Ye, Pan Lang, Zhao Xiang and nine bonzes are representative members. In the second section, the author make a comprehensive narration to the overall characteristic of the choice and constitution of poetry image. The higher frequency and typical images are classified, as the basis of the following passages.The third chapter is "The Implication of the Poetry Image in the Late-Tang- Dynasty Poetic Form". According to the former data and the study of text, the author analyzes some typical images of poetries, such as leaf, cricket, forest, spring, plum, crane. Through unscrambling the fallen leaf, cry cricket, the author analyzes the poets' painful and introverted mind; through unscrambling the forest, spring, the author analyzes poets' living condition which was self-sufficient in landscape and their comprehension to mountain and water ,whose theme is "charm" and "interest"; through unscrambling the plum, crane, the author analyzes their quiet temperament and independent personality.The fourth chapter is "Artistic Conception of Image Combination of Poetry in Late-Tang-Dynasty Poetic Form". In section one, the author analyzes the desolateness and coldness bourn, which is formed by images from the view point of image arrangement and combination ,and analyzes the aesthetic transcendent significance of desolateness and coldness bourn from the view point of time, and then analyzes the cause of desolateness and coldness bourn. In section two, the author analyzes the poets that take "clear" as the central personality ideal and poem's ideal from the view point of image constitution and combination, and then analyzes different "clear" style of different poets.
