| The noun measure word is one of the two parts in Chinese measure word. It is divided into two parts which are the special noun measure word and the temporary noun measure word. The study is thorough about the special noun measure word in academic circle, but the study is limited about the temporary noun measure word. In the area of cognitive studies, almost no one does research. This thesis uses cognitive linguistics theories to study the temporary noun measure words.In this thesis, the writer defined the limits of the temporary noun measure word, put forward a viewpoint that the temporary noun measure word is a continuity system, and explained it form the cognitive angle, the grammatical angle, and the analysis angle. The writer investigated the characteristics of word meanings and classifications of the temporary noun measure words. The writer found that the temporary noun measure words almost all come form the nouns. Therefore the writer put forward that the temporary noun measure word is an open system.This thesis used the achievement of former researchers about the quantity concept. As a result, the writer succeeded in revealing such a phenomenon that the cognizance of the object's quantity is according to the space characteristic. The object's space relations are compatible relation, adhesive relation and separate relation which will affect that the noun were used the temporary noun measure word. And the writer revealed that the characteristic of noun word meanings affect it which the noun were used the temporary noun measure word.Finally , the writer analyzed the same relation in cognizance, and put forward a viewpoint that same relation is important about noun words were used the temporary noun measure words. Their same relation was achieved through metaphorical cognitive mode and metonymy cognitive mode. |
