Tao Yuan-ming went into official circles severel times. Eventually he returned pastoral, his mind once and for all would be peaceful. Is this really true? Tao Yuan-ming find a place for his soul to a certain extent, because he more directly confronted life itself, so the essence of life in a more difficult situation. By contrast, in his mind, perhaps life was easy before he returned pastoral, but after it,the life was more hard. He finally left us in the letter that "life is difficult" this four characters. What was the difficulty of Tao Yuan-ming' s life, Why he had this life experience? This article asserts that the essence of his poet and ideological characteristics made the decision, he was not suffering from contradictions of going to official circles or returning pastoral, not from the rich and the poor fighting, but from the empty life, no life to fall back on, from the meaning and value of life and to seek the inevitable arrival. However, therefore he was so rich and profound, he left his quest and the great spirit of the life course and the ingenious poem and essays, to the first and only one of the means, being a carriage of precusor, he established a specimen significance, beyond time and space for future civilian and literature.
