| "Qu(去)"is one verb of basic vocabulary of Chinese, it is also a high frequency verb from ancient Chinese to modern Chinese. It's meaning changed greatly: denoting depart in Pre-Qin to denoting go after inter-Wei Jin.From inter-Wei Jin to Tang Dynasty,"Qu(去)"denoting go is a intransitive verb,consquently transitive verb usage emerged.Then the meaning of"Qu(去)"realized an appear to be contrary change.The thesis will discuss centering on the denoting change of"Qu(去)", having seven sections, including four core contents:1.The sameness and difference between"Qu(去1)"and"Qu(去4)".The difference is quite obvious, and the sameness is more important."Qu(去1)"means leaving the source , it doesn't implicate the goal;while"Qu(去4)"means (leaving the location of the speaker )going to the goal ,it implicates the source.2.The thesis investigated some detailed historical documents of Pre-Qin,Han Dynasty,WeiJin,NanBei Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, for example:Zuo Zhuan,Han Fei Zi,Shi Ji,Bao Pu Zi,Shi Shuo Xin Yu,Bai Yu Jing,Dun Huang Bian Wen and some oral documents too . We count up the numbers of"Qu(去)"'s every usage in each era.At the same time, the usage of Wang(往) is refered.3.Basied on these documents, several conclusions can be drawn out:①The"Qu(去3)"denoting go came out from the"Qu(去2)"denoting leaving without the object of the source."Qu(去3)"emerged when the goal is more projecting than the source in context.This process happened at inter-WeiJin,and then around NanBei-Dynasty the goal earned the place of object,"Qu(去4)"emerged .②The meaning change of"Qu(去)"came from two importing usage : One is following VP, the other is ellipsis the object.The former one embodied the attention of speakers.The latter one gave birth to"Qu... |
