Renaissance is the golden time that European polyphony underwent development and prosperity. In Renaissance, the rising of humanism symbolized the awakening of people under the long-time ruling by religion. Thereafter, polyphony grew from naivety to maturity. Religion polyphony advanced forwards. Then secular polyphony appeared in the historical stage, which made great part of people's music life. The external impetus propelling the prosperity of chorus art during Renaissance boiled down to three aspects. One was springing up of humanism, the other the secular multi-parts influenced by national music, the last the conflict of religion reform and anti-religion reform. The three complemented each other; as to that of the internal impetus, the development of counterpoint rules and the enrichment of chorus art promoted the development of multi-parts. The writer managed to bring to light the causality between propelling power and prosperity through organizing and analyzing the representative composers and their works during Renaissance. The development of polyphony in Renaissance went through the change from quantity to quality, the true reflection of dialectical unity, through which it's generally meaningful to reveal the essentials under prosperity, as for researching into the developing law of music on contemporary era even future. Meanwhile, it would surely touch the limitation of prosperity and its influence in future. Thus, the prosperity of chorus art in Renaissance and its influence on the development of multi-parts in future is the new subject posed after probing, which is just the purpose of probing., which is not only the demand for research, but the sole path. It will also lay the theoretical basis for the all-round research on the prosperity of chorus art henceforth.
