| The protestant philanthropy, which used to be ignored, is an important part in the history of China Christian study. This article focuses on the protestant philanthropy in Fuzhou during the Minguo Period(1912-1949). Based on the historical , sociological and cultural disseminatonal methods, the article makes a comprehensive study on the protestant philanthropy from its social and environmental background.the brief history of protestant in Fuzhou.its content,organization,resources, the relationship between the protestant philanthropy and the preaching, the states of the protestant philanthropy in the Fuzhou society and its status in the history of the Chinese social security system. Through this study.the author wants to provide a survey on the philanthropy ideology of the protestant and the function of the protestant philanthropy in the course of modernizing of the Chinese social security system. |
