The period of Spring and Autumn is a time full of tremendous changes, and the overwhelming changes took place in the economical foundation, the superstructure and even in people'thought and ideology. These changes lead to numerous unique phenomena existing in the society of Spring and Autumn, and the ever-appearance of the phenomenon of exile was one of them. The analysis and study on the phenomenon of exile would be helpful to understand and master the changes in the aspects of the politics, and the thought as well as ideology of people in Spring and Autumn Period.In the introduction, this paper identifies the scope of study, which is the phenomenon that the nobles exiled to settle in other nations. Some scorlars hold the argument that the phenomenon of exile was unique to the Spring and Autumn Period, but through referring to the historical evidences, it could be noticed that some similar cases also took place in the Xia Dynasty, Shang Dynasty, and the Xizhou Dynasty. What is special for Spring and Autumn Period was that it was in this period that the number of exile, as well as the occurrence of exile had increased a great deal, and exile became a very popular social phenomenon owning to the particular historical background. Some scalars have devoted much energy to discussing and studying this topic and have made a great achievement. Written on the basis of the former study accomplishment, this paper is well organized by taking the previous study as the reference and guidance.The first chapter sees about the identity of the exiles. Through outlining the cases of exile in which the four classes, including the royal family class, the noble family class, the minister-bureaucrat class, and the scholar-bureaucrat class, exiled to other nations, this paper has an overview on the exile of the different noble classes, and tries to exert the reconstruction of the original appearance of the exile in Spring and Autumn Period from the overall and the partial point of view.
