Three Studies Of LiuYong

This thesis is divided into three parts:In the first part , we will look into the causes about Liu Yong's frustraction of hisofficial career . The analyses are as follows : First , the emperor had the different aestheticpreference from Liu Yong . At the same time , he wanted to take advantage of Liu Yong tobanlance the social culture of different levels . Second , the literati and officialdom excludedLiu Yong because of the differences of aesthetic preference , the feelings and sexual passionsexpressed in Liu Yong's poem which are contradictory with the moral principles and thepolitics moral requirements to each man who wants to participate in government andpolitical affairs .In the second part , we will make a thorough inquiry about Liu Yong's culturalpersonality . He had dual personality , one was literati and officialdom , the other wasprodigal son . Finally , we can make a conclusion that the scholar personality was theleading personality of Liu Yong .In the third part , we will discuss about the emotion value of Liu Yong's prostitutepoems . Through the analyses of social conduct at that time and relations between Liu Yongand prostitutes , we don't think that there is ture love between Liu Yong and prostitutes .
