A Preliminary Probe Into Zhang Xian's Ci

Zhang Xian was a famous ci writer without leaving many works in the earlier stage of Northern Song Dynasty, he not only pushed the development of the poetry of the Song Dynasty, but also exerted a tremendous influence on his hometown's region culture history. This thesis analyses the characteristics and mood of Zhang Xian's ci, does textual research on the meeting of "Six Men of Letters", compares Zhang Xian's ci with another contemporary famous ci writer Liu Yong's, expecting that we can give a fairly complete exposition of Zhang Xian's ci and his personal contribution to ci history and Huzhou region culture history, study further to the famous ci writer, who was little noticed by scholars today.
