| The interrogative sentence is a kind of sentence based on pragmatic features of a sentence, or the interrogative sentence is a kind of sentence based on pragmatic purposes(moods) of a sentence. There are three kinds of interrogative sentences according to the study of Mr Lv Shu-xiang:the enquiring interrogative sentence, the conjuncture interrogative sentence and the rhetorical sentence in this thesis .And they can be classify further in the basis of their syntactic features or semantic features . Zaju revised in Yuan dynasty is looked as a closed study object in this thesis , and the interrogative sentences counted up, and the features of all kinds of interrogative sentences in Zaju are analyzed based on syntactic, semantic and pragmatic level.Moreover, this thesis have compared the interrogative sentences in Zaju Revised in Yuan dynasty with these in other documents before or after it , studied the features and status of the interrogative sentences in Yuan dynasty , inquired the developing history of the expression means of Chinese interrogative sentences.In the preface,we have discussed the present situation and meaning of the study on this question and our viewpoints in this thesis. In section one ,we divide the inquiring sentence into three sorts: specific interrogative sentence, yes-or-no sentence,and alternative sentence. The specific interrogative sentences consist of seven sorts used interrogative words such as DUOSHAO,HE,JI,SHEI,NA,SHEN,ZEN.The yes-or-no sentences consist of two sorts:one is marked,another is intoned. The alternative sentences consist of two sorts:one is coordinative the interrogative sentence,another is the positive-negative sentence. Moreover,we discuss the development and the historical status of the interrogative words in Zaju Revised in Yuan dynasty,inquire into their features of the Zaju and the development features of the alternative conjunctions in history. In section two,we discuss the conjuncture interrogative sentences.In this sentences, they include nine conjuncture words:GAN,MOBU,MOBUSHI,MOBUYUANSHI, MOSHI, DAIBU, MOBU and MOBUCENG,etc. In section three,we discuss the rhetorical sentence.There are three forms of the rhetorical sentence in Zaju: specific interrogative sentence, yes-or-no sentence,and alternative sentence.The rhetorical sentences in specific interrogative sentence form consist of these sentences used the word such as ZEN,SHEN,NA,HE,SHEN,JI and YAN; The yes-or-no sentences consist of these sentences used the word such as QI,DAO and YOUBUSHI;The alternative sentences in Zaju is only once.We agree that the value of the rhetorical sentence is a kind of appreciation,namely,a kind of subjective desire like sensation,attitude or opinion of speakers,and expresses the opposite meaning in contrast to the language form. There are several kinds of pragmatic purposes of the rhetorical sentences such as emphasize,reproach, retort,depreciate, remind and reject,etc. In section four,we discuss the modal particles ended in interrogative sentences. There are fourteen modal particles in this version.They are LE,BA, YE,YE,XI,ME,ME, HE,LAI,HU,NA,LI,SHA and ZAI,etc. In section five,we summarize this thesis and point out the problems solved in the days come. |
