During four years after the Anti-Japanese War, great change hit the financial economy in the mainland of China. Just as other commercial organizations, Hankou Qianzhuangs experienced great difficulties. Then, how did Hankou Qianzhuangs deal with them? Based on some files, this thesis described the living conditions of Hankou Qianzhuangs and their ways of coping with the emergencies they witnessed in three aspects in three chapters.Chapter one focuses on the rearrangement of Hankou Qianzhuangs, which can be divided into 3 stages:l.From 8.1945 to 3.1946;2.From 3.1946 to 1.1948;3.From 1.1948 to4.1948. Although the national government tried it's best to control the number of Hankou Qianzhuangs during this course, Hankou Qianzhuang's number grew rapidly. The rearrangement of Hankou Qianzhuangs was basic to the construction of Bill Market in Hankou at that time.Chapter two concerns Hankou Qianzhuangs' struggles against the Post-war Inflation.Their ways of overcoming the troubles can be classified into two groups:one is positive, while the other is negative. Considering the construction of Bill Market in Hankou at that time, this thesis laid stress on the positive measures that Hankou Qianzhuangs took, because of the importance of the Bank-Qianzhuang s' Bill-exchanging Union to the construction of Bill Market in Hankou at that time.Chapter three emphasized the construction of the Hankou Bill Market itself and Hankou Qianzhuangs' impact on the construction. This can also be dealt with in two aspects: the unity of the Bill Market in Hankou and the rediscounting of the central bank. Both the rearrangement of Hankou Qianzhuangs and Hankou Qianzhuangs' struggle against the Post-war Inflation influenced this course greatly.
