| Yu Dafu is a famous poet and writer in Modern Chinese literature history. He masters Chinese culture and western culture, and makes great achievement in the fields of novel, prose, poem, criticism etc…In the 1930s, he enjoyed equal fame with Lu Xun for a time, and was praised as "Rousseau of China ". He entered Chinese literary world with novel. Yu Dafu wrote forty-seven china's short stories which began from "silver gray death" in July of 1921 and ended with the" run away " in November of 1935 in fifteen years. His novels were popular at that time--- in the 1920s, formed a trend of Yu Dafu. However, because of the complexity of Yudafu's novels and his winding experience of life, Yu Dafu 's novels had been a complicated and disputable literature phenomenon from the beginning . Estimation from the researchers was different, some were good and some were bad. Since new period, because of the development of the society and progress of the times, the great change has taken place in the angle for people's ideology and knowing, the study on Yu Dafu has maken great progress too. People not only reappraise his status in the history of Modern Chinese Literature, but also study him deeply and entirely. The study about the relation of traditional culture and Yu Dafu has been put on the agenda. This text are about to probe into Yu Dafu' s " old style cultural complex " on the point of cultural conflict and review the contemporary writers, makes readers realize the difficulty of cultural transition and agony form paradox of ideals and reality.
