Filmization In Post-modern Context

There have been many views on filmization at early times. The major two views are the following two: faithful to the original work, and recreating. However, in the context of post-modernism combining with mass culture, a new method of filmization has appeared-post-modernized filmization.The thesis consists of six chapters:Chapter One, the foreword, is a brief introduction to a filmizing phenomenon in the filmdom at present, which is worth studying.Chapter Two analyzes the backgrounds of post-modernism combining with mass culture, and the dynamic history of the centurial filmization.Chapter Three studies cases. Through the analysis of five representative post-modern films, it tries to show the detailed process of filming from literature. This chapter attaches its importance to the microscopic perspective of "how to filmize".Chapter Four probes into the reasons of post-filmization. Through analyzing the change of social environment (including contemporary people's aesthetic conceptions, axiology and so on), and "the anxiety of influence" that literature, film, TV and Internet bring. This Chapter lays particular emphasis on the study of "why to bring forward post-modern filmization" from a macroscopic perspective.Chapter Five summarizes its impacts on society, literature, film producers and film noumenon. While frankly listing its negative impacts, it still lays particular emphasis on the positive side in filmology.Chapter Six comes to the conclusion. Post-modern filmization, as a new thinking method of film, will always be in existence in the film creation.
