Research On Huangchu Literature

Huangchu literature lies between Jian'an literature and Zhengshi literature. First, according to miscellaneous and trifling notes on poetry and prose, Huangchu is an influential period, still a period of higher level of literature. Second, according to writers the seven writers in Jian'an have already withered, but the Zhengshi scholars have not appeared yet, so if Huangchu literature is not an independent literature stage, it is also an important transitional literature. Third, in term theory, the characteristic demonstrated of this period, the questions which people paid close attention to and content involved all demonstrate obvious independent characteristic. According to the research of literature of the literature history, the Huangchu literature was regarded as the later stage of the Jian'an literature. To my knowledge, still nobody regards it as whole an independent one and carries on overall consideration and on aesthetic assurance until now, and nobody pointed out its population characteristic, and its transitional function and course transformed from Jian' an literature to Zhengshi literature. This thesis attempts to carry on research from these aspects. First, starting with the study of the writings, mainly according to the book titled as the chronicle of literature in middle ancient times written by Lu Kanru and my own textual criticism, I list the works of the Huangchu writer's as much as possible, then read piece by piece and sum up the content of subject of Huangchu literature. Second, I adopt the method that we must know his time in order to understand the purport of the works better, reveal its social factors from which Huangchu literature turned into for the first time. Third, I put Huangchu literature into the long river in the history of literature development, by comparing, and reveal the Huangchu literature's function that it takes over from the past and set a new course for the future in the history of literature, thus reveal its characteristic of its time.
