The Study On The Oyirad Durbet Tribe

Durbet Tribe, the same grandfather with Jungar, was one of the four Tribes of Oyirad, and was the greater part that came out from Choros. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty and the end of the Ming Dynasty, Dalai-taishi governed Durbet Tribe, and Durbet Tribe was prosperous and powerful for the moment, and took the initiative attitude towards both the inside harmony and the national strategy on the relations with other countries, After Dalai passed away, the internal confilicts took place constantly in Durbet Tribe.lt drew special civil strike to defend in a frequent one, and was involved in accurate Jungar's civil strike later. Because of having no way, it submitted oneself to the Qing Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty utilized Durbet tribe's surrendering and made Durbet tribe play a very important role in the war of conquering Oyirad. After Oyirad was conquered, Durbet was divided into two alliances of Sain jiyagatu Fig .left and right ,and16 villages, then the turbulent history of Durbet came to an end.This text explores and covers with Chinese literature and history materials to study the history of Durbet history tribe, and it systematically expounds some important historical problems such as the origin of Durbet tribe its being prosperous and powerful, migrating, internal conflict, decline of Durbet, and three Chelings submitting to the Qing Dynasty. Some mistakes in the records from the historical documents.This paper is divided into four parts : (1) the people of Durbet in the early days; (2) Durbet tribe in the period of Dalai-taishi; (3) Durbet tribe's in the end of the17th century;(4) the civil strike of Jungar in the 18th century and Durbet tribe submitting itself to the Qing Dynasty.
