Research On Conflicts Between The Common People And The Church Forces In ZhiLi Province In The Late Qing Dynasty

In the late Qing dynasty, there were hundreds of conflicts between the commonpeople and the church forces in Zhili province, but the research of it was weak releatively.In Zhili province, there were varrious causes to bring these conflicts , including fighting for landed dstates; quarreling and scuffling over trifles; robbing churchs, priests, and believers of the religion; apporationing temple funds; rummours and leaflets charging against the church forces; doubting and incriminating each other, etc.The conflict between the common people and the church forcesin Zhili province in the late Qing dynasty had it's traits obviously. There were two peak periods ; the quantity in the northern part was smaller than that of the center or the southern part in Zhili province; economic disspute was the most common among these conflicts; the France and the Catholicism played the main role compared with other countries and religions.
