In terms of psychology and art education, the author makes an elementary inqury into the problem how to cultivate creative thought power in higher art eduation.From of the history of the development art education at home and abroad, we can notice that human's art education is constantly changing and reaching a higher degree in order to adopt to socialized productive forles and relations in terms of education form, content and approach. In the knowledge-economy society, only depending on accumalation and inhentrance cannot adapt to the changing society. It must be focused on developing sisdom and cultivation objective approach and ability. University not noly export also produce knowledge and skills. Therefore, in the leavning society more attention should be paid to cultivate the leavner's ability and independent thought.The definition of creative power is diverse. Its most prominent feature is generally considered as novelty and originality. Creation is associated with thought. Thought is a divect and generall reflection of things by means of languages. Thought should be broad,deep,independant, critical, logical, flexible and quick. These can be called fine qualities. Creativity is the neclus of creativity activity. Thought this thought, we can not only reveal thing's nature and relationship, also can produce novel and orginal, social thought. Drawing is an visual art and the result of real life in the drawer's mind. The visuality tells us that all the production of beautiful pictures must depend on the observation and deep experience and rich imagination. It is necessary to find out the usual approach with a view to solve a problem. While, visual art creative ability have a deep demand than the previous ability Therefore, the primary task of higher art education is to set up a good environmentCreative ability is the most important quality of art major. Thus education should realise art major's creative values. A favourable environment contributes to enhance creativny and cultivate pioneer spirit. First of all, it demands to build a demoratic and harmonous outer environment, which is an improvement of cultivatity environment. Severnl features are needed: develp cultural-stimulus, intinsify creatively and diversity;admit the value of failure; protect the leavner's curiously self-esteem and self-trast.In addition, it is necessary to build an inner environment. Which can effictively help the learners form creative outlook, dynamic knowledge view and active aesthetic standards. These conceptions not only form a good spirtual enviroment also will become the impetus of reforming traditional education.As far as higher are education conceril, we can conclude that the full play of numan's creative abily is the best embodyment of training high quality talents. However, two enviroments are needed, one is an outer environment which can arouse the leavner's enthusiasm. The other is aunderstand learning and can fully excarate art creativity.The society calls on creativity. Our contry's higher art education is facing the challenge of knowledge-based econmy. The best way is to train the learners with creative thought ability. Only thus the strategic objective of development can be complected. We should examine closely from all respects.
