The book of LAI Shi Chun Qiu is a great work that cannot be ignored during pre-Qin times for those who want to study the literary thought in this period. Based on the research of fore-runners, the paper discusses the main content and characteristics of the literary thought by combining the philosophic thought. Through comparisons and analyses, the paper shows that Ltl Shi Chun Qiu lays a foundation of "Taoism". It melts the thought of "Taoism" into the field of literary and absorbs the rational parts of Confucian literary thought. Thus this book constructs a literary thought system which absorbs the Confucianism while melting "Taoism", so as to inherit and melt, break through and establish. The paper consists of four parts: the first part discusses .the literary concept of melting Taoism and absorbing Confucianism. The second part expounds the aesthetic thought of literary and points out that the question about aesthetic subject and object has formed a tentative theory system. The third part analyses the records about literary development and elaborates the cognition about the resources and development of literary. The fourth part tries to find out the discussion on "telling something" and the book has many valuable propositions such as "telling something completely", "telling somehthing", "telling nothing", "no telling".Ltl Shi Chun Qiu is not only a summary of literary thought during pre-Qin period, but also a bridge that transmits to Han Dynasty. In a word, Ltl Shi Chun Qiu plays an important part in the developing history of literary thought in China.
