I was an student at National University, Hanoi Foreign Language University and my major is Chinese language and culture. So when I was a sophomore, I took Chinese Intermediate Listening Course. During the period I study in China for a master degree, I went back to my university to finish my internship. I always visit other teachers'classes to see how they teach Chinese Intermediate Listening Course and I can teach the sophomores myself. Through all these, I master the basic procedures of teaching Chinese Intermediate Listening Course in Vietnam.I find that the type of exercises in the teaching materials are not variable, which cannot raise students'interest. Besides, the amount of exercises is too small to achieve teaching objectives. Most teachers in Vietnam still use traditional methodology to give listening lesssons. Most of their teaching time focused on the words and patterns of the listening scripts. They don't combine the listening with the social activities.I do the questionnaire survey and interview to get scientific data. Then I can analyze the current situation of teachers, students and teaching materials of Chinese Intermediate Listening Course in Vietnam. Afterwards, I try to give some suggestions about it and I hope these will help to improve the teaching quality of Chinese Intermediate Listening Course in Vietnam.
