| With China's rapid economic development in recent years, many foreign students have begun to learn Chinese for their work or just interest. As we all know, characters are very important part of the Chinese language, also an integral part of daily communication. If one doesn't learn or make an attempt to learn Chinese characters, it will be very difficult to communicate with Chinese or live in China. Although many students learn Chinese characters very seriously, few students can learn them well. In the Chinese language training centers, the majority of students who learn Chinese characters will give up halfway. And those who specialize in learning Chinese language in Chinese universities, students' writing skills are generally much weaker than the oral communication. Is it really so hard for foreign students to learn Chinese characters? I think the reason is still a major problem in teaching. Through my research and practice, observations finds many foreign language teachers do not inspire students to do proper motivation to learn Chinese characters, blindly make use of the "speaking & writing synchronization" teaching style, make excessive use of the "translation" method, and emphasis on speaking in neglect of students' writing. So, a teacher should use effective and interesting teaching methods to motivate foreign students' to learn Chinese characters and improve the efficiency of Chinese character learning, thereby enabling them to study and learn the Chinese language well through Chinese Characters is an important topic worthy of study.Under my teacher-Professor Zhou's introduction, and using internet teaching records, interviews, surveys and other research analysis and data collection etc. methods, to analyze the foreign students who study Chinese in their free time via net-based classes, on the basis of some different features, combined wi th the theoretical basis of foreign language teaching methods, to analyze the associative teaching method is good at stimulating students to generate a variety of effective motivation to learn Chinese characters, hoping to make some contribution to the teaching of Chinese characters. |
