| At present,Chinese characters have become the most learned and most used characters in the world.Although this situation is due to the large number of Chinese people learning and using Chinese characters,there is no doubt that the international influence of Chinese characters is gradually increasing.In the process of teaching Chinese characters to foreigners,the recognition and writing of Chinese characters is an outstanding teaching difficulty.Learners are often bothered by the difficulty of understanding and remembering Chinese characters,and teachers often encounter difficulties in choosing Chinese character teaching methods.In the process of teaching Chinese as a second language,the mother tongue of the learner is bound to cause a certain transfer of Chinese learning.Chinese character teaching is a very important part of language skills teaching and language element teaching,so it is necessary to choose a suitable teaching method.This article first clarifies the purpose and significance of the investigation and research on the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners,the methods and difficulties that will be applied in the investigation and research.Based on the introduction of the basic survey and research on the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners,this paper analyzes the general situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the current situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Kenya,thereby showing some noteworthy situations in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Then,the related theoretical researches on the teaching and tracking research of Chinese characters in foreign countries are sorted out and discussed,and they are the foundation for the research on the situation of Chinese character teaching in the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University.After obtaining the relevant data and results of the tracking research,the author tries to draw corresponding countermeasures and effective classroom teaching suggestions for Chinese characters.Finally,the author will summarize the teaching suggestions applicable to teaching Chinese as a foreign language by associative memory-based tracking research results of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and show relevant questionnaires and classroom observation records in the tracking research at the end to prove it. |
