The Study On The Grammaticalization Of "zheyang"

Grammaticalization is a process or phenomenon of grammatical category and element production. It is the important respects of language, and has its universality, it is the process to all languages. This article mainly with the specific using examples of "zheyang" in modern chinese and uses method of synchronic and diachronic combination, analysis the grammaticalization process of"zheyang"to make a detailed conclusion of the specific development and evolution of it.This article has four chapters.The first is introduction,it mainly introduces the rearch stage in and abroard to form a comprehensive understanding of the linguistic background which the article writing basis on .To grammaticalization,both the reachers of domestic and abroard have lots of rearches. The reaches of abroard focus on the process of grammaticalization,the essential features of grammaticalization,the analysis of grammaticalization mechanism and the analysis of some respects , the one-sided problem,grammaticalization and ceremonilize and so on . The reaches of omestic made deeper analysis and disscution of the grammaticalization definition,vocabulary grammaticalization and syntactic structure grammaticalization with the basis of the rearches of abroard .The second chapter mainly analysis the grammaticalization process of"zhe yang"in modern chinese. We mainly analysis the evolution process of"zhe yang"from pronoun to adverb with the specific using instance of"zhe yang",in order to make a comprehensive diachronic summarization of process of"zheyang"."zheyang"is originally a pronoun phrase structure,"zhe"and"yang"both has independent lexical meaning . For example,a back and took off his head left and the rod to look for :"where did you get this?"With the changes of the collocational ingredients of "zhe yang",semantic and structure of itself changes,become a measured phrases,and the meaning equivalent"zhe zhong"or"zhe lei". For example,People like us, espoused others, is just the village population。At the same time, as the influence of the factors ,such as the frequency,the reanalysis of the structure,the semantics mechanism , the grammaticalization of "zhe yang" become further deep, it fossilized the word gradually, that is the use of pronoun . Then, the use of "zhe yang" with the structure of pianzheng and quantity increased largly ,the semantic of "zhe yang"emptitize further, and gradually developed the usage of adverb, equivalent"zhe me".For example,Mr an hadn't reply, the old mr zhang see and said :"so valuable thing like this, help with 200$ everytime, it is really rare."Now the semantic of "zhe yang" was quite emptitize, and it is intensify semantic.By this time,we can say that a complete diachronic grammaticalization process of "zhe yang" has been reflected clearly.In chapter three, we mainly from the point of synchronic, analysis the grammaticalization direction of"zhe yang"comprehensive with the specific using situation of it in modern Chinese.It is divided into two main aspects specificly, that is the connective functions in declarative sentence and the subjective tendency in interrogative sentence and rhetorical question sentence.There are four specific types of"zhe yang"in modern Chinese,that is form the sentence element with other structures,display the semantic of former part in the first place,express the semantic relation with connective or adverb and in sentence independent, it showed the development and transformation of connective of"zhe yang"clearly.As the subjective tendency in interrogative sentence(rhetorical question sentence) of"zhe yang",it mainly expressed the subjective evaluation of speaker with people and the thing.For example,"We had been the cooker in our house, we had to buy it, and may be fined if expired, why did the gas company do like this?"Chapter four is the conclusion of the article ,it mainly to make a overall conclusion of"zheyang"grammaticalization .In short, the paper uses the existing situation of grammaticalization, bases on the specific uesages in modern chinese, and uses the approach of synchronic and diachronic combination, adopts quantitative analysis, analyze and summarize the diachronic grammaticalization of demonstrative pronoun "zheyang" in modern chinese and the different subjective tendency and try to make up for the vacant in the aspects of grammaticalization and subjective of demonstrative pronoun"zheryang".
