Objective:l.To investigate the psychological and behavioral characteristics of stoke patients with hemiplegia of different syndrome types; 2.To investigate the influence of psychological factors on quality of life of stoke patients with hemiplegia; 3.To generate the psychological intervention in stoke patients with hemiplegia. Methods:1. The study on psychological and behavioral Characteristics mainly adopts self-designed questionnaire, Five-pattern Personality Inventory, Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ), Affection Balance Scale (ABS), General Self Efficacy Scale (GSES) and Stroke-specific Quality of Life (SS-QOL) to measure 79 patients, complementing it with the interview method and the observation method.2.The stuty on psychological intervention adopts case method to analyse the application of psychological intervention in patients'rehabilitation process.The intervention lasts about four weeks and includes ten methods such as reading practice, breathing exercises and eye movement exercises. The stuty uses evaluation of patients and their family members and observation of researchers to assess the intervene effect. Results:1.Five-pattern personality:There were significant differences in shaoyang and yinyangheping factors between the stoke patients and the norm group by T-test,and there were significant differences in shaoyang, yinyangheping, shaoyin and taiyin factors among five types by F-test, LSD-test and Tamhane's T2-test; 2.Medical coping modes: There were significant differences in avoidance coping mode between the stoke patients and the norm group by T-test, and there were significant differences in avoidance coping mode and compromising coping mode among five types by LSD-test; 3.There were significant differences in positive emotions, negative emotions and general self efficacy among five types by LSD-test; 4.Quality of life:There were significant differences in mood, personality, social roles, energy, family roles, mobility, thinking factors and total quality of life among five types by F-test and LSD-test; 5.By Pearson Correlation, the quality of life is negatively correlated with tyi personality characteristics, compromising coping mode and negative emotions, is positively correlated with general self efficacy and affection balance, and by Multiple Linear Stepwise Regression, the taiyin personality characteristics, compromising coping mode, negative emotions and general self efficacy can significantly predict the quality of life. Conclusion:1.There were differences in personality,coping mode,emotions and general self-efficacy among different syndrome types of stroke patients with hemiplegia. The personality of patients of liver-yang hyperactivity type is yang excess, but irritable, they always adopt positive coping modes. The personality of patients of stagnation of wind-phlegm and stasis type is optimistic, but lacking in initiative on disease information collection.The personality of patients of stagnation of phlegm and blood-stasis type is gentle and mild with good balanced capability, but they are over-thinking and lacking self-esteem. The personality of patients of qi-deficiency and blood-stasis type is dispassionate and prudent, they are used to considering alone that let themselves fall into inquietude and loneliness. The personality of patients of deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin type is instable and emotional which has a great influence on their rehabilitation.2. Activating positive psychological response and catharsis of negative psychological response are equally important to improving the quality of life in stroke patients with hemiplegia; 3.The psychological intervention in stoke patients with hemiplegia will focus on expressing negative emotions, exploring self-potential and activating positive emotions, and these three aspects will be differentially emphasized according to different psychological and behavioral characteristics of different syndrome types. The intervention of patients of liver-yang hyperactivity type focus on expressing rage reasonably. The intervention of patients of stagnation of wind-phlegm and stasis type focus on dealing with Psychological Changes in the turn stage. The intervention of patients of stagnation of phlegm and blood-stasis type focus on activating positive emotions and self-potential. The intervention of patients of qi-deficiency and blood-stasis type focus on expressing emotional upsets. The intervention of patients of deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin type focus on changing their irrational beliefs.4. The psychological intervention which is simple, practicable and psychosomatic is easily accepted by hospital patients and carried out in wards.
