Gentry as a speacil social group in the traditional China society, acting particular role. And take advantage various social function. The purpose of writing this passage is through review and research into gentry who lived in Ming and Qing Dynasties in turn to treat the role they played and function they had in the traditional China society.Linchuan is a historical concept, lies the east of Jiangxi today, include eleven precinct belongs to Fuzhou. So great many Legendary elites from this area that people called it The Origin of talented person. Named for its very famous achievements in imperial examination, the peple who obtained "juren" and "jinshi" would always called talented person. With the accretion of number talented person, peple used to called all of students with this designation. So in this thesis,would like to take this generalized concept to the field of study about Gentry. For associated with academia, it's would used Gentry substitute for talented person.Linchuan lies in Ganfu Plain, with a long history of agricultural exploitation and a high level of agricultural production and developed economy. Offered a great basic for development of Culture. From Sung and Qing dynasty, it has been continuing the tradition of Confucianism. A great many talent offered stability Gentry stratum.During Ming and Qing Dynasties,social structure shows the tendency of value diversification. The social function of Gentry became more important than before. And obtained more opportunities in the administration and discussion of state affairs. The thesis through investigate the movements of Gentry, had a finger in Local Administration, safeguard social,participation management and work at family build. Comprehensive Analysis the role the Gentry played and great service to the local society. And showing another appearance except the exam accomplishment.
