The Comparative Study Of Yue Jue Shu And Wu Yue Chun Qiu

The main contents of Yue Jue Shu and Wu Yue Chun Qiu are both from historical materials. There are also a lot of mythes and legends in them. Before both books are finished finally in Eastern Han Dynasty, many authors make some contribution to them. The contents and forms of organization of both books are jumbled. Therefore, In "Sui Shu ? Jing Ji Zhi", they are both subsumed in the unofficial history and biography. By contrast, The character of Yue Jue Shu is far more obviously than Wu Yue Chun Qiu in unofficial history and biography.The most chapters of Yue Jue Shu are tactics from the ministers of both kingdoms.Its focal is explanations and remarks. In contrast, that of Wu Yue Chun Qiu is narrations and descriptions . The dialogues in Yue Jue Shu are much more than those in Wu Yue Chun Qiu . The inclination in fiction of Wu Yue Chun Qiu is more evidently than that of Yue Jue Shu. In this ,there are differences in more or less remarks, more or less narrations and descriptions on the characters. The former's imagines of the characters and achievement in narration are moe outstanding than the latter. Both books make use of all kinds of form of official history synthetically.But each book has also its main form.Yue Jue Shu depreciates kingdom Wu and praises kingdom Yue. Wu Yue Chun Qiu is opposite. Both books have the ideology of Confucianism and Taoism, the idea of hegemonism and spirit of revenge .They have the ideology of Yin and Yang and military strategist, too.Two kingdom's national policy of Confucianism ,high praise to the Sage and classics, norm of judging people and affairs according to Confucianism are reflection of Confucianism.The images of Wu Zixu and Fan Li in two books are different: Yue Jue Shu highlights Wu Zixu'gratitude to He Lu , and in this book Fan Li is a wise character and can forecast the future .But Wu Yue Chun Qiu, Fan Li can judge and recommend the persons of ability. He has strong detemination and are good at grasping good opportunity. A lot of women also appears in the two books. Nu Huan in Yue Jue Shu and Gou Jian'wife and Lai nu Wu Yue Chun Qiu . If alone considering from the narrative ,in general ,Yue Jue Shu narrates integrally, has much less systematic and detailed nature.The ways of narrative of Yue Jue Shu are less than those of Wu Yue Chun Qiu and narrative achievements thus far less than the latter. The achievements in narration of both books are outstanding. They both use the ways of Yu Xu and Hu Xian in narration. But there are some differences between them:Yue Jue Shu has narration and many remarks; Wu Yue Chun Qiu quotes a lot of ancient poems and folk songs.
