Although since the reforming and opening-up, the achievement of our country's college English teaching has been remarkable, there is still a huge disparity between the college English teaching's present situation and effect and our country's social realistic demand, it is unable to satisfy the demand of the present international competition situation by far. Besides the teaching methods, the curriculum structure, the students'studying interest and so many other factors, as the guidance of all the teaching activities, policy is a very important factor affecting quality of English teaching. The comprehensive understanding to the nature, the function and the reform result of college English policy needs a deeply special study. Firstly, the article gives the elaboration on the significance of the selected subject, the present researching situation, the researching methods and related concepts, then takes the quite highly representative college English teaching policy texts after reforming and opening-up as a breakthrough point, makes a brief combing to the college English policies of our country during this period, analyzes the characteristics of the college English policies in various stages and'their effect on college English teaching at that time. Based on the text analysis of college English curriculum policies and centered in the college English teaching reform, present some suggestion from the following aspects:pushing on the innovative college English Curriculum policies; heightening the level of teaching quality; innovating teaching contents and methods; perfecting the evaluating system. At last the article gives a conclusive assessment on the college English curriculum policies of these years.
