| Objective: To compare the sensitivity of BAEP and BTEP of the rats after their pons and the mesencephalon by electric injury.Methods: The pons and the mesencephalon of 80 rats were injured by electricity respectively. According to different quantity of stimulus of electric current, 80 rats were divided into eight groups randomly: two low-dose groups(1mA), two medium-dose groups(3mA), two high-dose groups(6mA) and two control groups(0mA), and each group was consisted of 10 rats. After the pons and the mesencephalon injured by different quantity of stimulus of electric current respectively, the waves form of BAEP and BTEP were recorded, the changes of waves form of BAEP, BTEP, the changes of physiological and pathological were compared with the post-injured compared with the original.Results: The HR and BR in the control group and the low-dose group were not changed compared with the original after pons were post-injured(P>0.05), the BR were increased in the medium-dose group compared with the original(P<0.01), the HR were increased and BR were descended in the high-dose group compared with the original(P<0.01). The HR and BR in the four mesencephalon groups were not changed compared with the original(P>0.05). The BAEP in the control group were not changed compared with the original after pons were post-injured(P>0.05). the PL of V, IPL of III-V, I-V were prolonged in the low-dose group(P<0.01), and the PL of III, V and IPL of I-III, I-V were prolonged in the medium-dose group compared with the original(P<0.01), the IPL of III-V were prolonged in the medium-dose group compared with the original(P<0.05). the PL of III, V and IPL of I-III, I-V were prolonged(P<0.01), the IPL of III-V were prolonged, and the amplitude of III, V were descended in the high-dose group compared with the original(P<0.05). The BAEP in the control group and low-dose group were not changed compared with the original after mesencephalon were post-injured(P>0.05), the PL of V and IPL of III-V, I-V were prolonged in the medium-dose group and high-dose group(P<0.05). The BTEP in the control group were not changed compared with the original after pons were post-injured(P>0.05), the T1 wave form was prolonged compared with the original in the low-dose group(P<0.05) and the PL of T1, T2 and T3 were prolonged in the medium-dose group and the high-dose group compared with the original(P<0.05). The BTEP in the four mesencephalon groups were not changed compared with the original(P>0.05). Pathological section showed that nerve cells were degenerated nerve cells death,small amount of gliocyte were hyperplasied, some lymphocyte were infiltrated and so on. Conclusion: The one-side pons and mesencephalon of rats after electric injury can be reflected by the same-side BAEP. The PL of V and IPL of I-V, III-V, I-III were prolonged and the amplitude of III, V were descended may be the sensitive indexes, the PL of V were prolonged was the most sensitive index. The one-side pons of rats after electric injury can be reflected by the same-side BTEP. The PL of T1, T2, T3 were prolonged may be the sensitive indexes, the PL of T1 were prolonged was the most sensitive index. |
