Objective:Obesity to human life and bring many of the inconvenience caused at the same time more than the normal population of hyperlipoproteinemia, diabetes, coronary heart disease and cerebral vascular accident and other serious complications, affecting the quality of human existence. Therefore, active control obesity has a medical field and even a common research interest, particularly in the Huanzhe for obesity have been, actively reduce the weight of science has critical importance. Acupuncture has significant weight loss in clinical application has been extensively. Although the positive effects of acupuncture to lose weight, but still lack objective and quantitative evaluation indicators, to some extent, hindered the further development of acupuncture to lose weight. In recent years, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the measurement of body composition has obtained rapid development, its advantages in the subcutaneous adipose tissue distribution and its distribution among the internal organs especially embodied. MRI can measure partial and total body fat tissue, visceral adipose tissue distribution, and their quantification, enables researchers to more objective understanding of body composition and related indicators of complex relationships. Has been shown, lipid metabolism and insulin resistance leading to cardiovascular disease risk factors, and measured by MRI abdominal subcutaneous adiposearea (SA), and visceral adiposearea (VA), found that this and SA, VA significantly correlated. The technology used to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture to lose weight, not only to provide objective guidance for clinical basis, but also for the prevention of cardiovascular disease caused by the obesity related risk factors and understanding also has important significance.Methods:90 simple obese patients, all patients were in May 2007 to June 2009 to attend scheduled appointments for patients with medical weight loss center, the minimum age of 18 years, maximum age 68 years old, with an average age of 39.5 years, with male 28 cases, female 62 cases, the longest duration of 18 years and the shortest one month, an average of 2.6 years. The cases are in line with the Third National Conference on obesity research to develop a "TCM diagnosis and efficacy evaluation standards of simple obesity"(1).90 patients with simple obesity were randomly divided in to electro-acupuncture group, Ear group, Auricular electro-acup uncture group plus three groups of treatment,30 cases of each group use the comprehensive evaluation method by body weight, B MI and MRI measurement of abdominal fat, And compare the effica cy of.(2) 61 patients who in line with "TCM diagnosis and efficacy evaluation standards of simple obesity" effective treatment, in accordance with pre-treatment VA/SA≤0.6 (38 cases) and VA/ SA> 0.6 (23 cases) were divided into two groups, compared pre-treatment SA, VA, BMI, and VA/SA.The results:(1) Efficacy of three treatment groups were significantly different regular (p<0.05), but Auricular electro-acupuncture standards of simple obesity" effective treatment of 61 patients in accordance with pre-treatment VA/SA≤0.6 (38 cases) and VA/ SA> 0.6 (23 cases) were divided into two groups, comparison pre-treatment SA, VA, BMI, and VA/SA.Conclusion:A single application of electro-acupuncture or auricular point sticking therapy, can effectively reduce body weight in patients with simple obesity and reduction of abdominal fat, including the VA and SA, while the electro-acupuncture plus ear better. Electro-acupuncture, auricular electro-acupuncture plus ear pressure and treatment of simple obesity can not only effective in reducing the SA and VA, but also to improve the VA and SA in patients with non-performing distribution.
