In recent years, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the measurement of body composition has obtained rapid development, its advantages in the subcutaneous adipose tissue distribution and its distribution among the internal organs especially embodied. MRI can measure partial and total body fat tissue, visceral adipose tissue distribution, and their quantification, enables researchers to more objective understanding of body composition and related indicators of complex relationships. Has been shown, lipid metabolism and insulin resistance leading to cardiovascular disease risk factors, and measured by MRI abdominal subcutaneous adiposearea (SA), and visceral adiposearea (VA), found that this and SA, VA significantly correlated.
