Clinical Study Of Warm Acupuncture Combined With Ear Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Simple Obesity

Objective: To compare the clinical effects of warm acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture and warm acupuncture on simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type.Methods: 72 outpatients from Acupuncture Department of Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of traditional Chinese medicine were randomly split into a treatment group(36 cases)and control group(36 cases).The control group needled Zhongwan,Qihai,daimai(Bilateral),Daheng(Bilateral),Shuifen,Guanyuan,Tianshu(Bilateral),Shuidao(Bilateral),Zusanli(Bilateral),yinlingquan(Bilateral),Fenglong(Bilateral),Sanyinjiao(Bilateral),Taichong(Bilateral),applied warming acupuncture in Zhongwan,Tianshu(Bilateral),Qihai,Guanyuan and Zusanli(Bilateral).The treatment group,based on the control group,added The auricular points were opened and buried,and the acupoints were chosen as Sanjiao,endocrine,subcortical,sympathetic,spleen and stomach,and the two ears alternately.Two groups were treated once every other day,three times a week,four weeks as a course of treatment,a total of two courses of treatment.The body weight,BMI,waist circumference and hip circumference of the two groups were pointed out before and after treatment.Results: 1.In this study,72 cases of simple obesity(spleen deficiency and dampness type)were collected,31 cases in the treatment group,5 cases in the abscission group,age(32.90 ± 7.88),course of disease(3.07 ± 1.30);32 cases in the control group,4 cases in the abscission group,age(32.56 ± 7.48),course of disease(2.91 ± 1.15).There was no significant difference in gender,age and course of disease between the two groups(P >0.05).2.The scores of body weight,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference and TCM syndrome in the treatment group were significantly different from those before treatment(P< 0.01);the scores of body weight,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference and TCM syndrome in the control group were significantly different from those before treatment(P <0.01);after treatment,BMI in the treatment group was significantly different from those in the control group(P < 0.01)There was difference in TCM syndrome score(P < 0.05).The total effective rate was 93.55% in the treatment group and 84.38% in the control group.The total effective rate of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion: Warm acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture is superior to warm acupuncture in treating simple obesity(spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type).
