The Clinical Observation On The Acute Gouty Arthritis Treated By Blood-letting Therapy

To investigate the clinical effect of bloodletting treatment on acute gouty arthritis and its security, To search for a more simple, convenient,lower-cost, effective and with no side effects treatment.All patients are selected from Zhang zhou city Chinese medicine hospital which had been confirmed to be acute gouty arthritis patients, then under the principle of random contrast,60 cases of acute gouty arthritis were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the contrast group, namely, the bloodletting group and the western medicine group, each consisting of 30 cases. With diet intervention, the treatment group were treated by bloodletting and the contrast group were treated by taking Compound Indometacin Tincture for ten days. After the treatments, the instant analgesic effects, the scores of symptoms and the changes of blood uric acid level were investigated and analyzed so as to assess the clinical effect of the bloodletting treatment by a statistical software-SPSS 16.0 for windows.1 The total effective rate of the treatment group is 96.7% while that of the contrast group is 93.4%. On the basis of diet intervention, bloodletting treatment and western medicine group are able to achieve an instant analgesic effect, to ease the pain and swelling of joints, improve the functioning of joints and lower the blood uric acid level of the patients. 2.
