Ping-gan-xiao-shi Presciption For Infantile Anorexia

Aim:Through clinical observations on the treatment of infantile anorexia at random, to improve the treatment easier to examination.Approach:All 54 cases standarded are chosen from anorectic infants from outpatient service of the hospital of Chinese medicine of Xiamen during 2008, Oct.—2009, Apr. The cases are classified into the treatment group for 28 cases and the contrast group for 26 cases. There are 12 cases of male and 16 cases of female in the treatment group; 10 cases around the age of 1-3,18 cases around the age of 4-6; the shortest cases is 3 months, the longest is 1 year and 2 months, the average is 10 months. There are 14 cases of male and 12 cases of female in the contrast group; 9 cases around the age of 1-3,17 cases around the age of 4-6; the shortest cases is 3 months, the longest is 1 yaer and 3 months, the average is 10 months. The sex, age, course of disease have been statistic processed, the discrepancy are statistic meaningless(P>0.05) for counting but comparability. Before the test, to register the elementary information of the anorectic infants' clinical symptom,in favor of comparison and analysis aftering. After the testing, compare the change of the treatment group and the contrast group, judge the clinical efficacy, and discuss its mechanism through the traditional medicine theory.Treatment group:according to the tongue, fingerprint of the infant, modulate the amount of medicine (Bupleurum,TGP, Zhishi, Licorice, Gardenia).Contrast group:adopting to the simplicity digesting,take the Multienzyme Tablets. Take the medicine 5 times a week, and a course of treatment is a month.Result:according to the observation, the main aspect and secondary aspect have been improved.Thus the treatment is useful.The analysis of the 2 groups:treatment group:cured 5 cases, efficiency 17.86%, effective 20 cases, total 89.29%; contrast group:cured 2 cases,rate 7.69%, effective 18 cases.total 76.92%.Two groups are different in Overall efficacy(P<0.01).Analysis of symptom after treatment:the appetite, food intake are all better than the contrast group(P<0. 05);complexion, fatigue, and constipation have been improved obviously(P<0.05). Conclusion:①Ping-gan-xiao-shi presciption can cure infantile anorexia more effectively than Multienzyme Tablets.②Ping-gan-xiao-shi presciption can improve infantile anorexia and its complications better than Multienzyme Tablets. ③Ping-gan-xiao-shi presciption is kind of effective prescription to infantile anorexia.From the Traditional Chinese Medicine,the precipitating factor of infantile anorexia are the feeding unsuitable and depression.My teacher suggest that,basing on promoting appetite,adopy the method of controlling the liver,and create Ping-gan-xiao-shi presciption.This is the new method in Chinese Medicine prevention and cure.
