Objective:To investigate the tibial intramedullary interlocking nail, and distal tibial locking compression plate fracture of the tibia and fibula in the lower segment compared the efficacy and objective evaluation of intramedullary nail and locking compression plate for treatment of fractures of tibia and fibula in the lower segment of the clinical efficacy, for the future provide a basis for deeper study, by exploring interlocking intramedullary nail and the locking compression plate for treatment of fractures of tibia and fibula in the lower part to facilitate the efficacy of clinical selection of a rational treatment, and look under the section fracture of tibia and fibula in the surgical treatment methods and future development trends. Methods:This theoretical research part of the system described Chinese medicine, modern medicine's understanding of the tibia and fibula fracture, relevant anatomy, incidence, etiology and pathogenesis, diagnosis, biomechanics and treatment methods. In this study selected 40 cases of fracture of tibia and fibula in the lower segment of the patients,20 cases of test group and control group,20 cases were used interlocking intramedullary nail and the locking compression plate treatments. Observed between the two operative time, blood loss cases, postoperative complications, hospitalization days, follow-up of patients with fracture healing time of the tibial fractures (John & Wruh,1983) efficacy evaluation criteria to assess risk of knee function, assessment of interlocking intramedullary nail and locking compression plate of the therapeutic effect. Results:Two groups of hospitalization days, fracture healing time, postoperative complications not significantly different (P>0.05). And compared with intramedullary nails, locking compression of the distal tibia bone plate surgery time is shorter, surgical bleeding the swelling subside after the operation time is shorter. Two groups of operation's overall efficacy of no obvious differences (P>0.05).Conclusion:Two kinds of fixation methods have advantages and disadvantages of the tibia and fibula fracture fixation. Locking compression plate for the treatment of tibia and fibula fracture of a new class of methods, with a simple surgical operation to adapt to a wide range of results the exact characteristics, and for fractures near the joints fixed, and its role irreplaceable. But the high prices are affecting their further promotion in clinical practice; intramedullary nail in line with the characteristics of bio-mechanics, with a fixed strong, can be early activity, stress shielding, etc., so that patients with early resumption of the labor force, has been the clinicians and the recognition and acceptance of the majority of patients. Is also gradually expanding its scope of application, but the fracture near the joint surface can not be locked nail, intramedullary nail can not be applied. Therefore, the actual situation should be based on clinical make the appropriate choice.
