To expound Aba KBD areas adult residents'dietary transition, nutriment-intake status, and determine the concentrations of Ka,Na,Ca,Mg,Fe,Mn,Zn,P,Cu and 17 kinds of amino acid in the barley collected from Aba KBD areas, compare with subsided areas and control areas to know the difference, Analyzed the Relationship with KBD, and to provide data for Preventing of KBD. The main results of this study were as follows:1. Staple diet of Ward residents is much larger than the proportion of non-endemic area, especially barley, the intake of vegetables and meat were serious shortage. the diet Non-endemic area is more reasonable than that in the ward, but compared with the recommended dietary intake, Major food proportion of both two regions were too high in staple diet, meat, vegetables, milk and other non-staple food consumption is far below the recommended value, eggs, beans is in a serious shortage, there is a great distance Compare with the requires of Chinese residents of a balanced diet pagoda".2. The intake of nutriment imbalance in ward residents is Serious. Most nutrient intakes were far away from the recommended values. fat,K,Na,Ca intake is seriously inadequate, Fe,Mn,Cu,P intake is too high, protein is play too high in Energy supply, Energy supply of fat, carbohydrate is low. The nutritional imbalances is lighter because of the more reasonable diet in the ward, overall, nutrient intake of both were imbalance. part of elements intake were more beyond the DRIs, but did not exceed the maximum tolerated dose.3. Pro,Arg,Glu,Ser in Barley from Aba county ward were significantly higher than non-endemic area, Arg of faded areas was significantly higher than non-endemic area, Glu,Ser,Thr,Asp of faded areas were significantly higher than non-endemic area, the differences of ward and subsided area was not Distinguished. Glu of Rangtang Ward was significantly higher than non-endemic area, Pro,Arg were significantly higher than non-endemic area; Pro,Arg,Glu,Ser of subsided area was significantly higher than non-endemic area; The rest was no significant difference between the various amino acids. Horizontal and vertical, Pro,Arg,Glu of ward levels were significantly higher than non-endemic area.Pro,Lys,Phe,Leu,Gly,Glu of amino acids in barley from Aba and Rangtang ward was significantly higher than rice, Asp was significantly lower than that of rice; The difference between two counties was not significant. The nutritional value of amino acids of barley is higher than rice.4. Na in Barley from Aba County non-endemic area was significantly higher than the other two districts, Mg,Fe content was significantly lower than the other two districts, the Fe content of non-endemic area was significantly lower than ward; Na in Barley from Rangtang subsided area and non-endemic area was significantly higher than that in ward, Mg content of ward is lower than non-endemic area, Fe content of faded area, ward was significantly higher than non-endemic area. The combination of Fe Na, Mg difference between in the region is almost the same; both counties barley Ca/P, Cu/Zn are serious disorders. All nine elements of barley from Aba ward and Rangtang ward were significantly higher than that of rice, each element in the two counties showed no significant difference. Judging by the element content, barley nutritional value was higher than rice. Conclusions:The differences of the level of trace elements(Na,Mg,Fe) and amino acid(Pro,Arg,Glu,Ser,Ser,Thr,Asp) in the barley are distinct. Amino acids and trace elements above maybe are important factors, the imbalance of trace elements and amino acids maybe are the reasons that cause KBD. But the cause of KBD still needs to be further studied.
