Objective: To measure the calcaneus related parameters of Kashin-Beck disease patients using X-ray image data,and compare the anatomical parameters of calcaneus of Kashin-Beck disease patients and normal adults,initially to determine the characteristics of X-ray changes of Kashin-Beck disease,to provide a theoretical reference for the early diagnosis of Kashin-Beck disease,the judgment of the severity of the disease,and the evaluation of the effectiveness of Kashin-Beck disease prevention and treatment,to provide theoretical basis for individualized treatment of subarthritis arthritis patients with Kashin-Beck disease,to initially provide data support for establishing a database of Kashin-Beck disease calcaneal anatomical parameters.Methods: The X-ray image data obtained during the survey of Kashin-Beck disease epidemic area(Yulin City)from November 2018 to December 2018 were selected.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,100 adults patients with Kashin-Beck disease were selected,and 100 local normal adults were selected as controls.All patients were of Han nationality.Measurements of bilateral calcaneal X-ray images of 200 patients.Kashin-Beck disease patients were indexed according to the Chinese WS/T KBD diagnostic criteria(WS/T 2007-2010).The calcaneus X-ray related parameters were measured on the obtained research samples,and the performance characteristics of calcaneus X-rays in patients with Kashin-Beck disease were analyzed.Results:(1)There was significant difference in the weight and height of Kashin-Beck disease patients compared with local normal adults(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in age and BMI(P>0.05).(2)B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,calcaneal tilt angle,calcaneal length,calcaneal height,calcaneal height-length ratio of the left calcaneus of normal adults were not significantly different from those of the right(P>0.05),the normal adult men's calcaneal B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,and calcaneal height-to-length ratio were not significantly different from those of women(P>0.05),while male calcaneal tilt angle,calcaneal length,calcaneal height and female compared with this,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),that is the calcaneal inclination angle,calcaneal length,and calcaneal height of men are greater than women.(3)In patients with Kashin-Beck disease,the left calcaneus B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,calcaneal tilt angle,calcaneal length,calcaneal height,calcaneal height-length ratio and the right side were all P> 0.05,there was no significant difference statistical significance,in Kashin-Beck disease patients,the calcaneal B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,calcaneal tilt angle,and calcaneal height-to-length ratio were compared with women,the results were all P>0.05,and the difference was not statistically significant.However,the calcaneal length and calcaneal height of men were not significant compared with women P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant.When statistical analysis was performed with the disease severity index as the variable,the comparison results of B?hler's angle,calcaneal tilt angle,calcaneal length,calcaneal height,and calcaneal height-length ratio of Kashin-Beck disease patients were all P > 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant,the comparison of the calcaneus Gissane's angle P<0.05 showed a significant statistical difference.There is a negative correlation between the calcaneus Gissane's angle and the severity of the disease(P < 0.05).(4)The measurement results of the calcaneal B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,calcaneal tilt angle,calcaneal length,and height of Kashin-Beck disease patients were smaller than those of normal adults,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),the height-length ratio of calcaneus in Kashin-Beck disease patients was larger than that in normal adults(P<0.05).Conclusion: This study performed data measurement of calcaneus X-ray related parameters for patients with Kashin-Beck disease,and carried out a retrospective measurement study using a case-control study method.The data obtained are good in concentration and low in dispersion.The characteristics of X-ray changes of Kashin-Beck calcaneus were tentatively identified,among them,B?hler's angle,Gissane's angle,calcaneus inclination angle,calcaneus length,and height are less than normal adults,calcaneus shortening and height reduction are characteristic changes in patients with Kashin-Beck disease,and Kashin-Beck disease calcaneal Gissane's angle may negativelycorrelated with disease severity,these have important theoretical and practical values for the early diagnosis of Kashin-Beck disease,the judgment of the severity of the disease,the evaluation of the effectiveness of the prevention and treatment of Kashin-Beck disease,and individualized treatment of subarthritis arthritis patients with Kashin-Beck disease patients.At the same time,it provided preliminary data support for establishing a database of Kashin-Beck disease calcaneal anatomical parameters.
