Clinical Study Of Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder Combined With Wendan Decoction In The Treatment Of Depression

Objective:By comparing clinical efficacy and side effects of Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder combined with Wendan Decoction and paroxetine hydrochloride,assess Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder combined with Wendan Decoction in the Treatment of Depression of clinical application value.Methods:The randomized controlled trials were conducted in 39 patients in the treated group and 39 patients in the control group treated with paroxetine hydrochloride. With Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and traditional Chinese medicine symptom rating scale, the efficacy of treatment was evaluated before and after treatment in the medication 2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks.The adverse reaction was assessed 2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks after treatment by Asberg Rating Scale (ARS).Results:Two groups have more significant difference in reducing HAMD scores,efficiency before and after treatment (P<0.05) respectively; but comparison between the two groups showed insignificant difference(P>0.05).The two groups before and after treatment by traditional Chinese medicine symptoms scores, efficient and have more significant differences (P<0.05);On Traditional Chinese Medicine reducing scores and efficiency,two groups compare was statistically significant at the end of week 2th,4th (P<0.05);but there was't statistically different after six weeks of treatment.After treatment,Chinese medicine symptom control rate of treatment group was 46.15%,TCM symptom control rate of control group was 20.51%.Scores of ARS between the two groups showed significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusions:Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder combined with Wendan Decoction in the Treatment of Depression shows the efficacy corresponded to that of paroxetine hydrochloride.Curing group has some advantage on improving traditional Chinese medicine symptoms (clinical control rate was significantly higher than that paroxetine hydrochloride).It has fast onset of action and few side effects, and has good clinical application.
