Effects Of Acupuncture Combined With Rehabilitation Therapy On Shoulder-Hand Syndrome After Apoplexy

Objective:To observe the Symptoms and the change of The microcirculation of nail rugae before and after the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation on Shoulder-Hand Syndrome,and comparative with the control group,to evaluate the efficacy and the effect of microcirculation of nail rugae after treated by the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation on Shoulder-Hand Syndrome. To certify the mechanism of how do acupuncture treate the Shoulder-Hand Syndrome,and look for the best method to treate he Shoulder-Hand SyndromeMethods:60 patients were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and control group.There were 30 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were treated by rehabilitation,while those in the treatment group treated by acupuncture combined with rehabilitation. All patients were assessed before and after treatment period. The evaluating items included:(1)visual analogue scales(VAS);(2)Fugl-Meyer measurement for the motor function of upper limbs;(3) measure of nerve function defect grade in the wind stroke; (4)The microcirculation of nail rugae.Results:(1) There is a significant improvement (P<0.05 or P<0.01) of visual analogue scales(VAS), the Fugl-Meyer measurement for the motor function of upper limbs, the measure of nerve function defect grade in the wind stroke and The microcirculation of nail rugae all in the treatment group and the control group after treatment period;(2)There is a significant difference (P<0.05 or P<0.01) of isual analogue scales(VAS), the Fugl-Meyer measurement for the motor function of upper limbs, the measure of nerve function defect grade in the wind stroke and The microcirculation of nail rugae between the treatment group and the control group after treatment;(3)Negative correlation between Symptoms and the microcirculation of nail rugae (P<0.05).Conclusion:Both of the acupuncture combined with rehabilitation and rehabilitation on Shoulder-Hand Syndrome after apoplexy can improve patient's visual analogue scales(VAS), the Fugl-Meyer measurement for the motor function of upper limbs, the measure of nerve function defect grade in the wind stroke and the microcirculation of nail rugae.But the latter is better than the former.There were significant relationships among Symptoms and the microcirculation of nail rugae of the stroke patients.It indicated that the change of the microcirculation of nail rugae is benefit to judge the severity of symptoms.
