Therapeutic Evaluation Of Modified Zhichuanfang On The Treatment Of Pediatric Asthma Of Heat Type

Objective:Using Zhichuanfang to treat pediatric asthma of heat type is co nstructed on the method of treatment that clearing lung and resolving phlegm a s well as descending qi and relieving asthma, and compared with the Pingxiao Mixture in order to estimate the clinical effects and safety of Zhichuangfang. There will be helpful to further investigate the role of clearing lung and resolv ing phlegm as well as descending qi and relieving asthma at the acute exacerb ation of pediatric asthma.Methods:56 cases that met the criterion of the syndrome of heat type ast hma and met mild-to-moderate on the degree of disease are selected, all subjec ts are divided into two groups, test group (32 cases) and control group (24 ca ses). Test test group is given modified Zhichuanfang and the control group isin fused Pingxiao Mixture. Course of treatment are both five days. Gasp, cough, phlegm and wheezing rale of the two groups are main efficacy parameters, and observing the improvements of lung function of two groups by using peak flo w meter to value PEF before and after the treatment. As well as using clinical scores and PEF as quantitative basis to observe clinical effect. To statistic and analyze the results of research by using SPSS 15.0.Results:The test group has 6 cases cured,14 significantly effective,11 ef fective and 1 ineffective while the control group has 2 cured,3 significantly effective,17 effective and 2 ineffective. The improvement of symptoms like g asp, cough, wheezing rale and PEF in the test group are better than that of t he control group (P<0.05), especially in the symptoms of gasp and wheezingr ale, there is statistically significant difference in the two groups (P<0.01), and the test group is much better than the control group. There is no significantdi fference between the two groups on the improvements of phlegm (P>0.05). T he improvement of the main symptom integral, secondary symptoms integral, t otal integral in the two groups at different time points were compared, efficac y of test group is better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The compre hensive therapeutic effects of test group, including total efficacy and the cure rate and effective rate, are much better compared with the control group (P<0. 01).Conclusion:Zhichuanfang that is constructed on the methods of clearing lu ng and resolving phlegm as well as descending qi and relieving asthma can be effectively in the treatment of pediatric asthma of heat type, and be better cont rolled in the acute exacerbation of pediatric asthma that met mild-to-moderate o n the degree of disease.
