Objective:To detect the advantage and reliability of near-infrared parameters of blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration of mammary gland lesions from the pathologic diagnosis.Methods:101 cases of mammary gland lesions who had accept the examination of the near-infrared mammary gland lesions detecting instrument (E-SN-2) were classified by near-infrared parameters of blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration, and were performed the pathologic examination to ascertain whether tumor is benign or malignant. Results:The blood concentration and the blood oxygen concentration of benign and malignant mammary lesions were 0.0634±0.2290,-0.1464±0.2417 respectively (P<0.001),1.1888±0.3117,0.9969±0.4779 respectively (p=0.019). Using the near-infrared mammary gland lesions detecting instrument to different malignant lesions from benign lesions, the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, positive likelihood ratio, negative predictive value, were 70%,74.51%,72.28%,72.91%,71.698%,2.746,0.4026, respectively. Conclusion:There is significantly different between benign and malignant mammary lesions in the aspect of blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration. Blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration are reliable to be used as diagnosis criterion of malignant mammary gland lesions. Objective:To detect the reliability of near-infrared parameters of blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration of mammary gland lesions from the microvessel density of tumor.Methods:101 cases of mammary gland lesions who had accept the examination of the near-infrared mammary gland lesions detecting instrument (E-SN-2) were classified by near-infrared parameters of blood concentration and blood oxygen concentration, were confirm by EnVison immunohistochemical method, then the relation among near-infrared parameters and microvessel density were analyzed by medical statistics. Results:The microvessel density was significantly lower (P=0.037) in the benign mammary gland lesions as compared with those in the invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast. MVD shows relationship with HER2 only with ANOVA. MVD did not show any relationship with tumor grades,ER,PR or HER2 with Univariate Analysis of Variance. Microvessel density is no linearly correlation with blood concentration or blood oxygen concentration. Conclusion:The microvessel density was significantly lower (P=0.037) in the benign mammary gland lesions as compared with those in the invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast. MVD did not show any relationship with tumor grades, ER, PR or HER2. It is well established that benign breast lesions with high MVD such as fibroadenomas, papillomas and breast cancer with low MVD such as DCIS and mucinous breast carcinoma which are the pathological reasons to make the false positive and false nagetive.
