| With the development of national economy and progress of scientific technology, people are more concerned about their physical and mental health, and have higher expectation for medical treatment. However, the irrational distribution of medical resources, imperfect health care reform, and unsound health insurance system have caused the contradiction between increasing needs of the people for physical and mental health and the backward health care system. Doctor-patient conflict has become a main manifestation of this contradiction. In recent years, the relationship between doctors and patients has become more and more intense, and the number of sudden mass riots caused by doctor-patient conflict is increasing.According to the content description of mass riots caused by doctor-patient conflict, this essay makes a definition of mass riots caused by doctor-patient conflict and summarizes its current situation and trend.
