Study On Integrated Interventional Measures Of Relapse Prevention By Art Therapy

Objective:To find out the psychological health's conditions of drug abstainers, especially on confidence and coping style. To explore effective integrative interventional measures by art therapy to help drug abstainers to return society with the purpose of prolonging their abstinent time. To provide scientifical evidence for the anti-drug work and set up scientifical effective anti-drug mode by art therpy in China.Methods:To choose drug abstainers in Wuhan detoxification rehabilitation center based on the cluster sampling and the freewill principle by non-random sampling. To divide the members into one man-control group, one woman-intervention group and one man-intervention group. To apply integrative interventional measures by art therapy, including behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psychological therapy, drawing therapy, music therapy and psychodrama for both intervention groups, lasting 3 months with 8 classes. To apply traditional measures including only music and movies for control group, also lasting 3 months with 8 classes. To use one scale by ourselves on drug abstainers'confidence and a simple coping style questionnaire (SCSQ) for obtaining the data, which were inputted twice by EpiData3.1 and analyzed by SPSS13.0. To get more psychological information of drug abstainers with the help of drawing outcomes. To help drug abstainers and their families in a consulting center after they came out the detoxification rehabilitation cente.Result:1. The basic information of drug abstainers, including age, education, marriage, income, occupation, parents'education and patients'occupation among the intervention groups and the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05).2. After the intervention, there were both no significant differences on the confidence and coping style of the woman-intervention group (P>0.05).3. Before the intervention, there were both no significant differences on the confidence and coping style between the man-control group and the man-intervention group (P>0.05).4. After the intervention, there were both no significant differences on the confidence and coping style between the man-control group and the man-intervention group (P>0.05).5. Before and after the intervention, the man-intervention group had significant differences on the confidence and positive coping style (P<0.05) and did not have significant differences on the negative coping style(P>0.05).6. There were both differences about the tree-drawings'categories and line styles filling in the tree drawing outcomes between the two intervention groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The integrative interventional measures by art therapy can enhance the drug abstainers'motivation and confidence, increase their positive coping abilities when they faced difficulties and setbacks, establish a good foundation for mental health to prevent relapse.2. With the help from the consulting center outside Wuhan detoxification rehabilitation center, the drug abstainers and their families can found good psychological health to face difficulties and the families could do more work to help the drug abstrainers get rid of drug abuse.3. Using drawing, we can get more information of the drug abstainers and can evaluate their psychological health by drawing outcomes.
