The Study On The TCM Constitution Of Pre-clinic Artherosclerosis Groups

Objective: The aims of the project is to study the TCM Constitution of pre-clinic artherosclerosis (PCA) groups, to analyze brachial artery in the physical category - ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV), ankle - brachial index (ABI) associated with the PCA, provides a theoretical basis for the atherosclerosis research of TCM constitution and new ideas for clinical atherosclerosis prevention and treatment . Menthod: Cross-sectional study using epidemiological methods, in strict accordancewith the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria have been selected thickening of carotid intima-media thickness (IMT> 0.9mm), but no clinical diagnosis of atherosclerotic diseases, take baPWV, ABI checks for the population of selected persons, assess the physical types of traditional Chinese Medicine according to Wang Qi's "Chinese constitution classification and decision tables" (see Table II), and finally to establish a database for statistical analysis.Result: In this study, 236 patients were selected, 48.3% were male, women accounted for 51.7%, male to female ratio was 0.93:1; physical composition of traditional Chinese medicine, accounting for 55.5% of simple, compound accounted for 44.5%, of which two composite 36.9%, 6.4% three composite, four and more complex accounts for 1.3%; purely physical quality of phlegm and blood stasis accounted for 12.3% and 8.9%, and phlegm in the compound, the quality of the blood stasis accounted for 16.1%; After statistical analysis, baPWV, ABI was correlated with the occurrence of PCA, phlegm and blood stasis in the quality of the higher value of baPWV, ABI values lower (P <0.05).Conclusion: 1, Phlegm and blood stasis quality are the two highest incidence of PCA among physical type, followed by heat transfer; 2, Phlegm among the highest value of baPWV, ABI's lowest value, followed by blood stasis quality, heat transfer.
