The Comparison Of Clinical Efficacy Between LISS Plate And Interlocking Intramedullary Nail In The Treatment Of Tibial Shaft Fractures

Objective: To ananyze the results of treating tibial shaft fractures by LISS plate fixation technology and interlocking intramedullary nails fixation technology ,and then to provide the reference for clinicians choose internal fixation materials.Methods: There were 66 cases of tibial shaft fractures at the affiliated hospital of QingHai University from April 2009to July 2010.It was divided into two groups according to two kinds of surgery fixation .One group is LISS plate fixation(A group). there are 32 cases, this included 19 male patients and 13 female patients, ages ranging from 18 to 56 years old, with the average meas of 38. Another group is interlocking intramedullary nail fixation. there are 34 cases, this included 22 male patients and 12 female patients, ages ranging from 18 to 58 years old, with the average meas of 39. Appraise to surgery time, hospitalization time, remove internal fixation time, fracture healing time. The clinical efficacy and common complications of the two kinds of internal fixations treatment were compared and analysised.Results: There are not significant differences in operation time and hospitalization time(p>0.05).There are not significant differences in postoperative remove internal fixation time and fracture healing time between the two groups(p<0.05). According to the comparison in the incidence of common complications between the two groups, there are not significant differences in infection and skin necrosis and bone nonunion(p>0.05), and there were significant statistic differences in knee anterior pain (P<0.05). A group: the excellent and good rate was 93.75 %, B group: the excellent and good rate was 73.53% .There were significant statistic differences in the excellent and good rate between the two groups(P<0.05),efficacy of group A was significantly better than group B.Conclusions: The LISS plate is superior to compared interlocking intramedullary nail in the incidence of common complications and clinical efficacy in the treatment of tibial shaft fractures.Therefore ,on the condition of good medical environment and economy ,meanwhile satisfying indications ,it is the preferred internal fixation materials of treatment of tibial shaft fractures.
