Clinical Research Of Using Proprietary Chinese Medicines By Syndrome Differentiation And Treatment In Children With Acute Upper Respiratory Infection

Objective:Evaluating the effect of using proprietary Chinese medicines by syndrome differentiation and treatment to treat acute upper respiratory infection, then establish a syndrome differentiation and treatment program that use proprietary Chinese medicines to treat acute upper respiratory infection in children.Methods:264 cases of pediatric acute upper respiratory infection were randomly divided into two groups. The test group was treated with proprietary Chinese medicines by syndrome differentiation and treatment while the control group was treated with Hutong and ribavirin. The course of treatment both last for 3 days. Observe the changes in symptoms and signs before and after the treatment and analyse them by statistical methods.Results:The overall efficacy of the test group is equal to the control group(P>0.05). The body temperature returned to normal time and the improvement in symptoms of the test group is superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of using proprietary Chinese medicines by syndrome differentiation and treatment should be recognized . We could found a treatment program that choose Wushicha Granule to treat wind-cold flu , use Xiao'er Ganmao Granule to treat wind-heat flu and use Xiao'er Ganmaoshu Granule to treat the flu whose syndrome is exterior cold and interior hot .
