Object To observe the influence of catgut embedding in acupoint to ET and NO level of EH patients with phlegm dampness.Method 60 EH patients were divided randomly into treatment group and control group; each has 30 patients, and were treated with catgut embedding in acupoint and acupuncture respectively. Control group needled Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40), Hegu (LI 4),Taichong (LR 3), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Quchi (LI 11) 6 days a week and rested 1 day, lasting for 4 weeks. Treatment group embedded catgut in the same points weekly and lasted for 4 weeks. Test blood pressure, ET and NO level and observe clinical symptom of each group. the result is analysed with statistic method to draw conclusion. Results 1. Blood pressure the efficient of treatment group is 93.10%, control group is 83.33%, the comparison show significant difference (P<0.05).2. Symptom improvement the efficient of treatment group is 97.55%, control group is 90.00%,no significant difference between the groups(P > 0.05).3. ET and NO level can be adjusted in both groups(P<0.05), there is no significant difference between the groups(P > 0.05) Conclusion Catgut embedding in acupoints and acupuncture can reduce blood pressure, improve clinical symptom and adjust ET and NO level, but catgut embedding had a better effect and is more convenient than acupuncture...
