| Objective:Analysis of college students five-pattern personality, constitution and psychological health and the correlation and between gender differences, according to the principle of "harmony in physical and mental" in traditional Chinese medicinein order to improve sound mind and body of college students as an objective basis. On the basis of the investigation about the five-pattern personality characteristics, the five-five constitution and psychological health of the relationship between them, and conducting appropriate personality, constitution and provide the basis for mental health education.Methods:Selecting 2009 freshmen of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine to conduct an overall survey. Adopt questionnaire way in Beijing university of Chinese medicine, a freshman in a month, admission for unit was whole address measure. Testers read the guidance, explained the questions of students and required students to complete "Five-Pattern Personality Inventory", "Five-Five Pattern Constitution Inventory" and "SCL-90 (Symptom Checklist 90)" independently, recorded the recovery situation after students' completing the questionnaires.1122 copies of questionnaires have been issued,132 invalid questionnaires were excluded,990 valid questionnaires were eventually obtained, and the response rate was 88.2%. SPSS 18.0 was used to test the data by One-Sample T Test, Independent-Sample T Test and correlation analysis.Results:1. Five-pattern Personality:Compared with the Taiyang, Shaoyang, Shaoyin, Taiyin of the same age norm, freshman personality dimension scores were significantly lower, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Compared with the Taiyang, Yin-Yang balanced, Shaoyin of freshman grils, boys'personality dimension scores were significantly higher, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01).2. Five-Five Constitution:Freshman group and the same age norm compared to the healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, dampness constitution, wind constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution, freshman personality dimension scores were significantly higher than the scores of the national norms, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Freshman group and the same age norm compared to interior cold constitution, freshman constitution dimension score was significantly lower than the national norms, the results were statistically significant (P<0.05). Freshman boys and freshman girls compared to the healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, dampness constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution, boys constitution dimension score were significantly lower than girls, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01).3. Psychological Health:Compared with horror of freshman grils, boys' scores were significantly lower, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01).4. Correlation analysis results were as follows:1) Correlation analysis of five-pattern personality and SCL-90:Taiyang personality dimension score and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitive, depression, horror showed negative correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01); Taiyang personality dimension score and hostile showed positive correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.05). Shaoyang personality dimension score and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitive, depression, anxiety, horror, spirit symptoms, sleep showed negative correlation; the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Yin-Yang balanced personality dimension score and all 10 factors showed negative correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Shaoyin personality dimension score and somatization, anxiety, hostile, spirit symptoms, sleepshowed negative correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Taiyin personality dimension score and all 10 factors showed positive correlation; the results were statistically significant (P<0.01).2) Correlation analysis of five-five constitution and SCL-90:Healthy person constitution, wind constitution dimension score and all 10 factors showed negative correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Excessive heat constitution dimension score and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitive, depression, horror showed negative correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Interior cold constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, dampness constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution dimension score and all 10 factors showed positive correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Phlegm constitution dimension score and somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitive, depression, anxiety, paranoid, spirit symptoms, sleep showed positive correlation, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05).3) Correlation analysis of Five-pattern Personality and five-five constitution: Taiyang personality dimension score and healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, wind constitution showed positive correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05); Taiyang personality dimension score and dampness constitution, phlegm constitution, dryness constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution showed negative correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Shaoyang personality dimension score and healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, wind constitution showed positive correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01); Shaoyang personality dimension score and dampness constitution, phlegm constitution, dryness constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution showed negative correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Yin-Yang balanced personality dimension score and healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution showed positive correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01); Yin-Yang balanced personality dimension score and dampness constitution, phlegm constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution showednegative correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Shaoyin personality dimension score and excessive heat constitution showednegative correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Taiyin personality dimension score and interior cold constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, dampness constitution, phlegm constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution showedpositive correlation, and the results were statistically significant(P<0.01); Taiyin personality dimension score and healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution showed negative correlation, and the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion:1. Five-pattern Personality:Freshman group and the same age norm compared to the Taiyang, Shaoyang, Shaoyin, Taiyin freshman personality dimension scores were significantly lower than the same age norm, showed that freshmen had a low intensity reaction, poor flexibility, lack of persistence and the negative aspects of Taiyin personality dimension was low. Freshman boys and freshman girls compared to the Taiyang, Yin-Yang balanced, Shaoyin, boys personality dimension scores were significantly higher than girls'; It showed that freshman boys had a high intensity reaction, good balance, good persistence.2. Five-Five Constitution:Freshman group and the same age norm compared to the healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, dampness constitution, wind constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution, freshman personality dimension scores weresignificantly higher than the national norms. Freshman group and the national norms compared to interior cold constitution, freshman constitution dimension scores weresignificantly lower than the national norms. It showed that freshman' constitutionwas complex, andhad many problems. Freshman boys and freshman girls compared to the healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, dampness constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution, boys constitution dimension scores weresignificantly lower than girls.3. Psychological Health:Compared with horror of freshman grils, boys' scores were significantly lower.4. Correlation analysis conclusion was as follows:1) Correlation analysis of five-pattern personality and SCL-90:Yin-Yang balanced personality characteristics of the people in all areas were not prone totend mental health problems. Taiyin personality characteristics of the people in all areas were prone to show mental health problems easily. Personality characteristics of the Taiyang was not prone to tend mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, horror"; personality characteristics of the Taiyang was prone to tend mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "hostile". Personality characteristics of the Shaoyang was not prone to tend mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, anxiety, horror, spirit symptoms, sleep". Personality characteristics of the Shaoyin was not prone to tend mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, hostile, horror".2) Correlation analysis of five-five constitution and SCL-90:healthy person constitution, wind constitution dimension score of the people in all areas not prone to mental health problems in all respects. Interior cold constitution, deficiency of yang constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, dampness constitution, dryness constitution, deficiency of qi constitution, blood deficiency constitution, qi stagnation constitution, blood stasis constitution dimension of the people in all areas easily mental health problems. Excessive heat constitution dimension of the people not prone to mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, anxiety ". Phlegm constitution dimension of the people not prone to mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitive, depression, anxiety, paranoid, spirit symptoms, sleep".3) Correlation analysis of Five-pattern Personality and five-five constitution: Yin-Yang balanced personality characteristics of the people not prone to constitution problems, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution scores is higher. Taiyin personality characteristics of the people easily constitution problems, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution scores is lower. Taiyang, Shaoyang personality characteristics of the people, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, wind constitution scores is higher. Shaoyin personality dimension of the people, deficiency of yin constitution scores is lower.4. The relationship of five-pattern personality, five-five constitution and psychological health:summaryly, the relationship of five-pattern personality, five-five constitution and psychological health of freshman is closely related. Yin-Yang balanced personality characteristics of the people not prone to constitution problems, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution scores is higher, and in all areas not prone to mental health problems. Taiyin personality characteristics of the people easily constitution problems, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, wind constitution scores is lower, and in all areas easily mental health problems. Taiyang, Shaoyang personality characteristics of the people, healthy person constitution, excessive heat constitution, deficiency of yin constitution, wind constitution scores is higher, and not prone to mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive- compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, horror". Shaoyin personality dimension of the people, deficiency of yin constitution scores is lower, and not prone to mental health problems; but mainly concentrated in the "obsessive-compulsive symptoms, sensitivity, depression, hostile, horror".
