Korean peninsula shares a border with China, thus both of them have maintained close and frequent communication since ancient times. Especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the 600 years from the late of Koryo period to the late of Joseon Dynasty in Korean, the biggest diplomatic characteristic was envoys-exchanging between the two countries and there are historical records collectively referred to as Chaotian Lu, and YanXing Lu handed down, which recorded the mission of Korea envoys to Yanjing, the capital of China.Yeonhaengrok complete works, here in after referred to as Quan Ji, containing 100 volumes is one of the most complete and biggest historical series about that period, in which there are more than 380 books including Chaotian Lu, and Yeonhaengro. It is considered as important historical records, reflected the condition of medicine of each one and the communication of medicine of both countries from different sides at that time.There were more than 560,000 word historical records related to medicine collected and organized, and part of them were chosen as the main historical materials in the thesis, by collecting, discriminating, abstracting and organizing. Then the materials were divided into different categories such figures, diseases, medicine, prescriptions, medicine literatures, foods, regimen and so on to research and discuss. In addition, the condition of communication of the medicine between Korean and China would be introduced respectively in these categories in order to describe the real development of medicine of both countries and the condition of communication of medicine in both countries. It hoped that much more historical records about Korean and China medicine and their communication would be explored and much more convenience would be provided for the communication of medicine between Korean and China.By organizing the historical records related to medicine in Yeonhaengrok complete works and taking into account the development of political and diplomatic relations, the condition of medicine and social background between Korean and China, we could understand much more details during these 600 years, especially in Qing dynasty and we could find that the communication of medicine in both countries have been maintained and gradually deepened. It can be said, Yeonhaengrok complete works is another historical records reflecting the communication of medicine between China and Korean after Chao Xian Wang Chao Shi Lu, containing abundant historical data an is helpful to the further study in future.
