Objective:Investigate the quality of life survey in children with type 1 diabetes, to evaluate quality of life of children and adolescents with diabetes in Chongqing. Investigate education interventions of children and adolescents with diabetes, to improve their quality of life.Methods:"Children's Diabetes Camp"had held in our hospital in may 2010 . Diabetes (DM) Patients Quality of Life (QOL) Specific Scale and the American Juvenile Diabetes Patients Quality of Life Scale had been used .After clustering, plait the quality of life scale of children and adolescents with diabetes living in Chongqing. On the Children diagnosed DM, patients survey questionnaires were collected in 21 cases, collected fasting blood glucose, HbA1c, four of urine proteins, eyes examination of those 21 cases.Results: 1.The scale has good reliability and validity; scale of satisfaction with the overall impact of the DM areas has significant correlation, the same to Relationships areas;2. QOL of children with type 1 diabetes associated with insulin injection; Course of disease,treatment and blood glucose with the impact of DM areas has a positive correlation; gender, HbA1c, and self-evaluation has no correlation with all areas of the scale.3. QOL of Children and adolescents with DM were significantly decreased, including the treatment with the greatest impact; followed by psychological / psychiatric effects, and the third is the impact of interpersonal relationships; finally, the physiological functions and the impact on daily life. 4. Use of insulin pumps and multiple injections of insulin pen use in the two groups of patients with satisfaction field were significantly different in statistics, and the same to with impact of the DM. Disease duration≥5 years and <5 years group, HbA1c≤7.6% and> 7.6% of patients with the impact of the DM were significantly different in statistics, but with the satisfaction was no significant difference.Conclusion: Drawing up the quality of life scale of children and adolescents with diabetes living in Chongqing. In the survey, scale of the new establishment has good validity; almost all patients with poorly controlled blood sugar recently; children and adolescents with DM patients showed significantly decreased QOL, including the impact of treatment on children and the psychological / spiritual impact of the most significant; showing type 1 diabetes using insulin pump therapy can improve quality of life.
