Chronic gouty arthritis is much the same as "Bizheng", "White tiger calendar day" in traditional chinese medicine and so on. External Therapies of TCM has a long history, significant effect, plaster therapy is a major feature.Objective: To be the subject according to the etiopathogenisis of chronic gouty arthritis, we make use of a method of warming yang and cold-dispelling, eliminating phlegm and promoting blood flow, activating meridians to stop pain and approach therapeutic efficacy and security of warming yang and activating meridians plaster for chronic gouty arthritis.Methods:Eighty-four patients with chronic gouty arthritis meeting the Inclusion criteria were included and randomly divided into groups:30 in the treatment group and 30 in control group. Treatment group were used warming yang and activating meridians plaster affixed outside the lesion and Duhuo Jisheng Decoction Oral, and control group were used Duhuo Jisheng Decoction Oral, once a day, a course of treatment for two weeks to observe the general clinical condition, laboratory indicators, specialist special inspection (including joint pain, swelling and dysfunction of grade points, etc.) before and after treatment, and statistical analysis to compare before and after, the scientific analysis therapeutic efficacy and security of warming yang and activating meridians plaster for chronic gouty arthritis.Results:1. Warming yang and activating meridians plaster for chronic gouty arthritis compared with the purely internal Chinese medicine, statistical points of the total treatment effect and after treatment, P<0.05, the difference was statistically significant, warming yang and activating meridians plaster to prove treatment of chronic gouty arthritis more effective than simple oral administration of Chinese medicine.2. Warming yang and activating meridians plaster can effectively ease pain, swellingand joint dysfunction of chronic gouty arthritis. It is obviously better than the control group to ease the pain, swelling, and joint dysfunction of chronic gouty arthritis, with statistical significance.3. Through analyzing factors to influence therapeutic efficacy of warming yang and activating meridians plaster, we can see:the difference of patients's disease duration, it is different in treatment effect with statistical significance. So it is very obvious on a shorter course of disease, patients with mild to moderate clinical efficacy.4. In a period of clinical observation, one patient interrupt treatment because of local skin allergies in the treatment group, and in the laboratory tests and before and after treatment we did not find any other side effects occur, proved safe and effective for warming yang and activating meridians plaster.
