Clinic Research On Chronic Gouty Arthritis (Spleen Yang Deficiency) Treated By Compound Wu Ling San Decoction

Objective:The subject is to provide a new method to treat gouty arthritis, to control the disease condition better, to improve the living quality of the patients and also to provide clinical test data for the doctors by observing the effectiveness and the safety of the treatment to the spleen yang deficiency type of the chronic gouty arthritis by Compound Wu Ling San Decoction.Methods:Choosing60cases of the chronic Gouty Arthritis patients from the Rheumatology out-patient department of The Yunnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in January2011to December2011who in accordance with the inclusion criteria, were Divided the60cases into2groups-the treatment group and the control group-by random table method for randomized, each group has30cases. The patients of the treatment group are given the Compound Wu Ling San Decoction, which were producted by Yunnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. And a dose of decoction was producted into three bags, the patients had to drank3times a day-one bag each time,200ml one bag. While the patients of the control group are given Benzbromarone Tablets50mg, once a day.4weeks for one period and observing one period of treatment. Observing all of the patients’ the integral change of the clinical symptom, the clinical sign, blood uric acid, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, blood and urine routine, liver and kidney function in before and after therapy, meanwhile all datas are analyzed statistically.Results:1.Comparison between the curative effect of two groups, the total effective rate of the treatment group was90.00%,while the control group was86.67%.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of these two groups (P>0.05).2.The syndrome effect of TCM of two groups, the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.01).The total effective rate in the treatment group was90.00%,while the control group was67.00%.There was significant difference in the total effective rate of these two groups (P<0.05)3.The two groups after-treatment could significantly improve clinical syndrome (P<0.01) and the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05)4.The treatment group could improve the single of the spleen yang deficiency syndrome (P<0.01). The control group could improve the symptoms like joint pain, swelling and function (P<0.01), but no significant effect on body trapped burnout, wan new full abdomen, shit pond thin and tongue and pulse condition (P>0.05). The effect of the treatment group improve the single of the spleen yang deficiency syndrome was better than the control group (P<0.05)5.Both the two groups could reduce blood uric acid (P<0.01).and had the similar curative effect (P>0.05)6. The two groups could both improve the ESR (P<0.01),CRP (the treatment group(P<0.01), the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the two groups (P>0.05)7. During the observation period of the test, there was no adverse effects on blood and urine routine, liver and kidney function both the two groups (P>0.05)Conclusion:1. The addition and subtraction of the Compound Wu Ling San Decoction could improve the clinical symptom, clinical sign and laboratory parameters of the patients of chronic gouty arthritis.2. The principle of formulating Compound Wu Ling San Decoction fully reflected the basic idea of TCM--holism concept and treatment based on syndrome differentiation. And played a very good effect in improving the patients’overall situation.3. There was no adverse reaction and toxic and side effects be founded in the process of clinical trials. So it is the safety and effectively drug to treat the spleen yang deficiency of the chronic gouty arthritis.
