The Clinical Study Of Acupoint Application Ⅰ With Basic Methods In The Treatment Of Bronchial Asthma

Bronchial asthma is a common respiratory disease featured with repeated outbreak, dyspnea, wheezing in the throat and prolonged expiration. Bronchial asthma, is a common paediatric disease and a difficult paediatric disease. The pathogenesis of bronchial asthma is always indistinct. The modern medical considers the treatment of bronchus asthma in chronic duration is controlling symptoms and preventing it recurres. Currently the most effective anti-inflammatory drugs for preventing the asthma attack are inhaled corticosteroids. The traditional chinese medicine regards that phlegm is retained insides and bronchial asthma occurs when phlegm is triggered by external factors. When sputum blocks in the respiratory tract, the lung is impaired, and illness falls. There are various ways of Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, for instance, oral taking herbs, acupuncture, catgut implantation at acupoint, acupoint injection, point application and massage, etc. Even though there are so many therapies, a lot of children could not accept properly or take medicine on time, and therefore having a negative impact on the effect. In order to make the children easy to accept and with little side effect, acupoint application was applied. Channels, which internally belong to internal organs and externally interconnect extremities, link up the inside and the outside and penetrate through from top down; on this basic, Chinese drugs are applied to specific acupuncture points and this reduces or alleviates the attack of bronchial asthma or even achieves the purpose of attenuation for a long time. The acupoint application therapy is simple, convenient and cheap and can avoid difficulties for children to take Chinese drugs orally. Further, as the tender skin of children is easy to drug absorption and sensitive to acupuncture stimulation, the method is popular to a great number of children patients and parents. Therapy has been broadly applied to clinical medicine.Purpose The Chinese drug acupoint application tuerapy I produced by professor Xuhua is applied to treat children patients which are attacked by the bronchial asthma on the basis treatment.Clinical symptoms(wheezing, coughing)and signs(wheezing sound, phlegm sound) are observed to estimate the clinical effect of the method before and after the treatment so as to provide an objective basis for clinical spreading and application.Method60 children patients are simply and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to a ratio of 1:1; 30 children patients in the treatment group are treated with acupoint application I, three times a week, each time last two to four hours; while 30 children patients in the comparison group are treated with a Tulobuterol paster, one paster every day, and each continued twenty-four hours. A course of treatment consists of 4 weeks, following-up two months. Observation index:â‘ The main symptoms (wheezing, coughing) and signs (wheezing sound, phlegm sound) before and after treatment;â‘¡The asthma attacks in recent days before and after treatment;â‘¢The adverse reactions in skin after the acupoint application. Rrecording at each observation point and SPSS18.0 statistical software analyzes the recorded data to figure out results.ResultThe two groups having no significant difference in gender and age (P value is over 0.05),they are comparable.The results showed that after treatment in two weeks and in four weeks compared with before treatment, two groups of wheezing, coughing, and wheezing sound and phlegm sound in treatment group were obviously improved, but the phlegm sound in control group after treatment in two weeks than before was increased. Following-up in one month and two months later, two groups of coughing, phlegm sound, wheezing, wheezing sound in the treatment group were improved, but wheezing and wheezing sound in control group after treatment in four weeks increased little or getting worse. The improving of the wheezing in four weeks was no significant difference in two groups, while coughing, wheezing sound, phlegm sound and the overall improvement in the treatment group is superior to the control group. Two groups were analysed by Ridit showed that they were having no significant in the clinical rate. The total effective rate in treatment group was little better than the control group. After four weeks of treatment, the comparison of asthma attacks in recent days showed both can reduce asthma attacks. The acupoint application therapy did not cause adverse reaction, such as the skin redness, swelling pain and so on.ConclusionThe results of this study indicated that, on the basic treatment, the effect was obvious in the acupoint application group, compared with those treated with Tulobuterol pasters. The treatment group can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms and signs of bronchial asthma children patients, also can reduce the bronchial asthma attacks.the method has so many advantages, such as simple, efficacious, convenient, cheap, fewer side effects, integral control, long curative effect and can be accepted by children patients simply. Therefore, the Chinese drug point application method is worthy of further studying and spreading in clinical medicine.
